Charleston
Charleston is at the heart of Bloomsbury in Sussex. Still a place of wonder and inspiration it was transformed by Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell. Taking paintings beyond the canvas they decorated walls, doors and furniture in a style influenced by Picasso and the Post-Impressionists.
The house has a painters' garden full of vibrant colour, as well as a café that serves delicious light lunches and afternoon teas, a Crafts Council selected shop and a gallery exhibiting a changing programme of exhibitions.
Guided tours and an information centre bring Bloomsbury in Sussex to life.
